TempoLab Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Rasa Records LLC ("Rasa Records," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the TempoLab application for iPhone and Apple Watch ("TempoLab" or the "App").

TempoLab does not collect personal data. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. Information you create while using the App is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.

By using TempoLab, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any of the following:

  • Name, email address, telephone number, or other contact information

  • Precise or approximate location data

  • Contacts, photographs, calendars, or files

  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or other persistent identifiers

  • Usage analytics, session data, diagnostic reports, or crash logs

  • Audio captured through your device's microphone

TempoLab incorporates no third-party software development kits, analytics frameworks, or crash reporting tools. The App transmits no data to any server operated or controlled by Rasa Records LLC.

3. Microphone access

The Tuner feature within TempoLab requires access to your device's microphone in order to determine the pitch of an instrument being played.

Audio captured through the microphone is processed in real time on your device solely to calculate frequency. Audio is not recorded, written to storage, retained, or transmitted to any party. Each sample is analyzed and immediately discarded, and only the resulting pitch measurement is displayed within the App.

Your device will request microphone permission when you first open the Tuner. You may decline that request, and you may revoke permission at any time through your device settings. Declining or revoking permission disables the Tuner. All other features of the App remain fully functional.

4. Information stored on your device

TempoLab stores your preferences and content locally on your device so that they persist between sessions. This includes tempo, time signature, output mode, reference pitch, and any custom chord progressions you create.

This information resides only on your device. It is not transmitted to Rasa Records LLC or to any third party, and it is not backed up to any service we operate. Deleting the App removes this information from your device.

5. Purchases

TempoLab offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features. All purchase transactions are processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store.

Rasa Records LLC does not receive or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. The App queries Apple to determine whether a valid purchase exists and enables the corresponding features accordingly. Apple's collection and use of information in connection with your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

6. Apple Watch

If you use TempoLab on Apple Watch, the App exchanges metronome configuration between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch. This configuration consists of tempo, time signature, output mode, playback commands, and whether the purchase has been unlocked.

This exchange takes place directly between devices you own, using Apple's Watch Connectivity framework. It does not traverse any server operated or controlled by Rasa Records LLC, and it contains no personal information.

7. Children's privacy

TempoLab is suitable for users of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no personal information, no parental consent mechanism is required under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or comparable legislation.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, applicable privacy law may afford you rights to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete personal data held about you. This may include rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended, and similar statutes.

Rasa Records LLC holds no personal data concerning users of TempoLab. Accordingly, there is no personal data for us to disclose, rectify, transfer, or erase in response to such a request. All information generated through your use of the App resides on your device and may be removed by deleting the App.

9. Data security

Because TempoLab neither collects nor transmits personal data, there is no personal data in our custody that could be subject to unauthorized access or disclosure. Information stored locally is protected by the security features of your device and your operating system.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the amended policy at this address.

Should a future version of TempoLab collect any personal information, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe that collection, and the App Store privacy disclosures for the App will be revised accordingly, before that version is made available.
